Only a day to go until launch….

With the iPhone 4 finally going on sale on Friday, we thought it would be a good time to round up all the information we’ve gleened from network providers and rumour-mongers alike, and put it all in one simple, neat and tidy place.

Here’s what we know for sure….

Here’s what we found out today. Tesco have decided to undercut everyone in terms of contracts, although you will have to pay a bit more up front for the handset………

iPhone 4 32GB         £429          £299       £99

And finally, here’s a rumour……………..

According to Pocket-lint, one of their readership has revealed that Three Mobile’s price plans for the iPhone 4 may well be cheaper than it’s network rivals (discounting Tescos).

The reader in question allegedly contacted Three’s customer service and was offered a deal for a 16GB iPhone 4 that will charge £99 for the handset, followed by £30 per month for 500 mins, unlimited texts and internet – presumably for 24 months.

That puts Three slightly ahead in terms of value for the moment and if that kind of pattern continues through their larger offers, we could conceivably be about to see the benefits of a completely open-networked iPhone.

Bring on the competition, that’s what I say – although bear in mind that this is just a rumour for the moment. We’re checking it out and will fill you in with the complete picture as and when we get it…
