Motorola co-CEO Sanjay Jha has been outlining the company’s plans for the year to analysts – which involve the launch of at least 20 different smartphones, including “one direct-to-consumer device with Google”, according to The Street.
There have been several rumours of Motorola phones in development – the mysterious sounding “Mirage” or “Shadow” sound like a wind-up to throw people off the scent, to be honest – but now we’ve heard (virtually) official news, could one of these be destined to become the Nexus Two?
The last quarter of the year was a tough one for Motorola, with results showing that their mobile phone division revenue had dropped by almost 50% compared to the previous year, so it’s clear the company could do with a tonic or two.
Perhaps designing the latest Google phone will do just that………….
