The festive period is fast approaching and us folks at shopexplorer are finishing off sewing up the holes in our Christmas stockings, hoping that the man like Santa hasn’t been hit as hard by the recession as the rest of us. * A new technology that Rupert Murdoch isn’t interested in grabbing his percentage from.

* A reasoned, well-thought out response from government and record companies regarding the nature of “illegal” downloading.

* Pay rises all round!

* Apple stores to get a little bit messier. Please. They weird me out.

* An end to the atrocities that are Microsoft parties.

* A beginning to naked Wii parties.

* To wake up and think that spending over 2 grand on a 50″ TV for your 4″ x 3″ living room was a good idea.

* An app that will reveal that the universe is simply the product of the entire human consciousness and only peace, love and music can ensure our perpetual existence, as one ever-expanding mind, floating through the dizzy heights of our wildest dreams.

* Or one with a half-decent fart noise.

* A Bluetooth ear-piece that doesn’t make you look like you want a smack in the face.

* An end to the celebrity-obsessed culture of indifference and tragic acceptance of insipid, uninspired media programming which is endemic in our once-proud nation.

* 2 tickets to the X Factor Final!

* Scratchproof mobile phone screens. Come on inventors – it’s a surefire winner.
